Leadership

Dr. Martin  was called by God into ministry while in High School and has had the privilege to serve the Lord in Full Time ministry for over 30 years. He earned his undergrad at Tennessee Temple University, Master of Divinity at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and his Doctor of Ministry at Covington Theological Seminary. He and Jennifer have been married since May 22, 1993. God blessed them with two beautiful children and one daughter in law. And in recent days, God has blessed them with their first grandchild.  
He accepted the call to Grassy Valley Baptist Church in 2020. 

Chellsey and Troy have been married since 1992, and they have been in ministry in various ways for over 25 years. Chellsey has a love for sharing Jesus through various social media outlets, as well as a passion for photography. With her background, Chellsey brings a unique perspective and valuable skillset to GVBC. Her dedication to service makes her an exceptional member of our team. 

With a heart for people and a gift for organization, Chellsey helps keep our ministries running smoothly while making everyone who walks through our doors feel welcome and cared for. Whether answering questions, offering encouragement, or managing details behind the scenes, Chellsey does it all with a cheerful spirit and genuine love for serving others. Our church is grateful for the joy in excellence she brings to our church family every day.
